Job description
We are looking for an experienced, licensed accountant (bookkeeper) to handle all accounting and document workflow for a small DOO in e‑commerce (outdoor gear, mainly retail via Shopify). Currently the company has PDV registration and experience with import, export, and re‑export, but we are now focusing mainly on retail operations in Serbia.
Main responsibilities
• Full double‑entry bookkeeping (KPO/KP and related records) for the DOO.
• Preparation and submission of monthly and annual reports to APR, Poreska uprava, and ePorezi (PDV, PPD, contributions, annual balance sheet).
• Management of all accounting documents: invoices, customs documents for import/export/re‑export, returns, supplier settlements, payroll if needed.
• Handling PDV calculations for import, export, and re‑export operations according to Serbian law, while aligning everything with our new retail‑focused model.
• Ensuring correct documentation and bookkeeping for dropshipping / e‑commerce operations with international suppliers.
• Advising the owner on compliance and possible optimisation for small businesses operating in Serbia.
• Being the main contact for any accounting and reporting questions from the company side.
Requirements
• Valid license for bookkeeping / accounting services in Serbia (registered in the relevant Chamber / SRRS register).
• 2+ years of experience with DOO companies, including experience with PDV, import, export, and re‑export.
• Good knowledge of Serbian accounting standards and tax reporting (Porezi, APR, ePorezi).
• Ability to work independently and remotely, with clear communication in Serbian, Russian, and English.
• Experience with accounting software (for example, Konfigurator, ePorezi, eFaktura, or similar).
Conditions
